Acceptable Use Policy — Prism by Fiatos

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs your use of Prism, operated by Fiatos LLC. It supplements the Terms of Service and defines what conduct is and is not permitted on the platform.

By using Prism, you agree to this AUP. Violations may result in account suspension or termination.

2. Permitted Use

Prism is designed for:

  • Uploading documents you own or have rights to process
  • Querying uploaded documents using natural language
  • Researching publicly available document collections (Platform Libraries)
  • Building knowledge bases for personal, team, or organizational use
  • Exploring AI-powered document intelligence capabilities

3. Prohibited Content

You may not upload, store, or process the following types of content:

3.1 Illegal Content

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — zero tolerance; immediately reported to law enforcement
  • Content that facilitates human trafficking, drug trafficking, or weapons dealing
  • Material that violates export control laws or sanctions

3.2 Privacy Violations

  • Personal data of individuals without their consent, where such processing would violate applicable privacy laws
  • Documents obtained through unauthorized access, hacking, or theft
  • Health records (HIPAA-protected PHI) unless you have a signed Business Associate Agreement with Fiatos

3.3 Intellectual Property Violations

  • Copyrighted materials you do not have rights to upload or process at scale
  • Trade secrets or confidential business information belonging to third parties

3.4 Malicious Content

  • Malware, viruses, trojans, ransomware, or any malicious code
  • Documents designed to exploit the platform or its AI systems

4. Prohibited Activities

You may not use Prism to:

4.1 System Abuse

  • Attempt to bypass rate limits, query limits, or subscription tier restrictions
  • Create multiple free accounts to circumvent usage limits
  • Probe, scan, or test for security vulnerabilities without written authorization from Fiatos
  • Attempt to access another user's data, documents, or account
  • Reverse engineer or extract the underlying AI models

4.2 Automated Abuse

  • Run bots, scrapers, or automated scripts against the Service at a rate that degrades performance for other users
  • Bulk-query the Service in a manner inconsistent with normal human use patterns
  • Use the API to rebuild a competing product by extracting Fiatos's processing pipeline

4.3 Harmful Use

  • Use AI-generated responses as the sole basis for legal, medical, financial, or safety-critical decisions without professional verification
  • Use the Service to harass, defame, stalk, or threaten any individual
  • Generate or distribute misinformation at scale

5. Platform Libraries — Special Provisions

Platform Libraries contain publicly available documents (court records, FOIA releases, public filings, etc.) made accessible for research, education, and journalism purposes.

You may use Platform Library content to:

  • Research public records and events
  • Support journalism, academic research, and legal analysis
  • Build understanding of public interest topics

You may not use Platform Library content to:

  • Harass or target private individuals whose names appear in the documents
  • Create derivative works intended to defame any person
  • Republish large portions of the library contents as your own work

6. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of content or activity on Prism that violates this AUP, please report it to support@fiatos.ai with as much detail as possible. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.

7. Enforcement

Fiatos reserves the right to:

  • Remove or quarantine content that violates this AUP
  • Suspend or terminate accounts involved in violations
  • Cooperate with law enforcement in cases involving illegal content
  • Rate-limit or throttle accounts showing abusive patterns

Enforcement is at Fiatos's sole discretion. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before taking action, except where immediate action is required to protect other users or the platform.

8. Appeals

If you believe your account was suspended in error, contact support@fiatos.ai with “AUP Appeal” in the subject line. We will review your case within 5 business days.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP as the platform evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice.
